Learn about the SANDMARC Standard Case for iPhone 18 and Duo models, including compatibility, lens mount design, and who it's best for.
Quick answer
The SANDMARC Standard Case for iPhone 18 & Duo Models is a minimal, affordable lens case with an anodized all-black aluminum mount. It's best if you want a slim protective case that directly mounts SANDMARC lenses without extra adapters.
Why choose the Standard Case over other options
The Standard Case keeps your iPhone 18 or Duo model protected while providing a secure, direct attachment point for SANDMARC lenses. Its anodized aluminum lens mount is more durable than plastic alternatives and ensures a snug fit for lenses like the Anamorphic, Wide, Telephoto, and Macro.
This case is designed for users who want a single, everyday case that also works as a lens mount platform. It doesn't add bulk like some hybrid cases, making it easy to slip into a pocket or bag.
Key considerations before buying
The Standard Case is specifically molded for iPhone 18 and Duo models. If you have an older iPhone, it won't fit. Also, while the case works with all SANDMARC lenses listed in the specs, it does not include a built-in lens storage or a kickstand—features found on some premium cases.
The all-black aluminum mount is designed to blend with the phone and resist scratches. However, the aluminum may show wear over time if frequently swapped with lenses. For heavy-duty use or extreme outdoor conditions, a more rugged case might be preferable.
Decision rules for the Standard Case
- Compatibility check: The Standard Case fits iPhone 18 and Duo models only. Check your phone model before purchase. If you have an older iPhone, look for a case designed for that model.
- Lens selection: All SANDMARC lenses with the standard mount (Anamorphic, Wide, Telephoto, etc.) attach directly without adapters. No extra accessories needed—just snap the lens onto the aluminum mount.
- Everyday use vs. heavy duty: The Standard Case is slim and protective for daily use. For extreme environments or frequent lens swaps, consider a more rugged case. If you need drop protection beyond typical use, explore SANDMARC's Pro Case.
